GENERAL INFORMATION
ACADEMIC REQUIREMENTS:
To qualify for participation in school sports, a student must have achieved a GPA of at least a 2.0 in the most recent applicable grading period. This would be the grading period immediately preceding the athletic season of each sport. In addition, the student must have a passing grade in at least 5 classes with no more than one (1) F. Any student failing to meet the required academic standards is ineligible for participation in athletics. This includes practice, tryouts, and workouts. Students entering 6th or 7th grade from elementary schools are automatically eligible until the first grading period is over.
Behavioral requirements:
Student athletes are expected to meet school and district behavioral expectations in school. Site disciplinary actions for behavioral violations will be the responsibility of the individual coach with concurrence of the site principal.
Insurance Requirements:
To be eligible for any team tryout, practice, workout, or game, a student athlete must present the following:
- A signed parent permission card
- Verification of insurance form
