Tryout Procedures

TRY-OUT INFORMATION

Try outs are held for certain sports where there is a limit on the number of people a team can hold. Every effort is made to see that each participant is given the fairest chance to make the team.

Sports that require tryouts are: Basketball, Volleyball, Soccer Softball and Golf.

Cross Country, Track and Field, and Wrestling are sports where there are no tryouts to make the team, however within the team students compete for spots to participate in meets.


Students should expect to start tryouts at 3:15 on the first day of the sport noted in the 
Year Long Sports Calendar. They should meet outside the gym unless otherwise noted.

 

 

Students should be dressed appropriately and show up with a willing attitude.

Practices usually last from 3:15 to approx. 4:30-5:00pm.

Try outs generally last for 2-3 days, after which the coach those students who have made the team.
 
Insurance Requirements:

 

To be eligible for any team tryout, practice, workout, or game, a student athlete must present the following:

 

  1. A signed parent permission card
  2. Verification of insurance form
