Binder Reminder
The Binder Reminder is the best tool students have for keeping track of their assignments. These suggestions outline a method for getting the most out of the binder reminder.
At school:
- At the beginning of each class, get out your binder reminder and write any new assignments.
- Write down due dates for tests, extra credit or materials you need to bring.
At home:
- Review the binder reminder for today. What assignments need to be completed today? Are there any assignments coming up that could be worked on if there is extra time?
- Complete the assignment.
- A parent or guardian should check if homework is completed by comparing what assignment is written in the binder reminder with what the student is working on.
- Put the completed homework where finished assignments go; ready to be turned in. If your student does not have a system for filing assignments to be turned in, develop one.
- Check the following day in the binder reminder. Are there other assignments to turn in, materials to bring or a test to study for?
