Anne Frank Final Projects
Due Date: May 17th
Note: Since we will be sharing these projects in class, to receive full credit, you must have your project ready to present at the beginning of class. You may collaborate with 2-3 classmates from either period; however, you will not receive any class time to work together. Your project will be evaluated on its accuracy, creativity, and appearance.
Pick one of the following options. For extra credit, you may choose to submit a second project.
- The Architect/Interior Designer-Create a three dimensional replica of the secret annex. Your model should include all of the living spaces, bedrooms, w.c. etc, and should be as true to the play’s description as possible. Your design and decorations should clearly show the use of each room.
- The Poet/Musical Performer- Write, memorize and perform a 2-3 minute rap about the Holocaust. Your rap should include information that you have learned as a result of this unit. You may provide musical accompaniment.
- The Illustrator- Create 5 accurate drawings which correspond to 5 different scenes or events in the play. Be prepared to explain your drawings to the class. Pictures may be black and white or in color. Please use paper that is no smaller than 12” x 18”. If you work together, each student must complete 5 drawings.
- The Playwright- Invent and write a 4-5 page script of a scene that is not in the play, but could have happened. Please type your script so that Ms Smith can make copies, and the class can read it aloud.
- The Teacher- Create a 50 question multiple choice test for the entire play. Include questions for every scene. Please type the test, so that students may take it for extra credit. Provide an answer key. If you work with other students on this project, please make sure that each student completes 50 questions.
- The Internet Researcher- Browse the Internet and find the 5 best sites for students who would like to learn more about Anne Frank and/or the Holocaust. On separate paper, list each website address and write a one paragraph summary describing what type of information or resources are found on the site. Please type your project so that Ms Smith may photocopy it for interested students. If you work together, please find 5 sites per student.
- The Non-Conformist- Pick and develop your own special project. Get permission from Ms Smith first!
