On Saturday, August 26 we had over 45 students and parents participate in the first School Beautification day of the year. We weeded, washed walls, clipped bushes and placed decorative bark in most of the planter boxes. We would like to thank all of the parents and students who donated their time to make our school look great. We are planning another school clean-up day for later this year. We hope you can join us.
Thank you parents, students and teachers who attended the 1st Annual Welcome Back BBQ. It was a success. We would like to thank Wes & Gary Hunter for the great food. If you see them tell them THANK YOU. They spent hours and hours getting the food ready for us.
Thank you parents that helped with the Magazine Drive. It looks like we made over $20,000. We need co-chairs to run this event next year. Lisa Bishop has done this for 4 years. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you Lisa!!!!! Please contact the home and school club if you and a friend would be willing to take this event on for next year. If you sign up now you can be trained by the best before she leaves the Junior High.
We have had a very successful Monte Fireworks drive. We sold our allotment of two hundred tickets. A special thank you to evryone who purchased tickets. All of the proceeds go to support our activities throughout the year.
Buy tickets for the Subaru Raffle. Want to give a donation to the school and have a chance to win a car or a bike? 1 ticket for $5 or 6 tickets for $25. Send money to school with student. The Raffle will take place at the end of October at the Santa Cruz Wharf.
The sports season for Boys’ Soccer, Cross Country and Girls’ Soccer ends October 20. Their seasons were very successful and each team appreciates the support you have provided them. Our next season begins October 30th with Girls’ Soccer and Boys’ Basketball.
Thank you parents for raising such great kids. The students at Aptos Junior High are the best!
